Visicon Model Check List
Visicon Model Check List:
- Check the latest version of the architectural Revit model to highlight all specific changes between versions
- Compare new architectural model with current structural model to:
- check locations of all columns to make sure all are properly placed, and
- identify floor variations in openings and edge of deck.
- Perform incremental cost estimates for each version of the structural Revit model to:
- identify and eliminate any duplicate elements, and
- run quantity take off report and export quantities that have changed.
- Run quality check between updated structural design model and production model to:
- compare ETABS and Revit Model to verify geometry (i.e. sizes and locations match within reasonable limits), and
- compare current ETABS model and prior version to quickly understand what has changed in the model.
- Conduct separate clash checks for:
- mechanical ducts versus structure,
- piping layout versus structure, and
- piping layout versus mechanical ductwork (to assist other disciplines).
- Review structural steel shop fabrication model to:
- verify overall geometry,
- check member shapes and sizes, and
- isolate differences to show:
- any elements in the Revit model that are not in the Tekla model, and
- elements in the Tekla model that are not in the Revit model.
(The fabrication model is expected to be more complete therefore seeing the difference is important.)
