About Us
Founded, built and led by engineers, Visicon is dedicated to letting designers unlock the data in the models they use to achieve better outcomes. With decades of experience in both practicing engineering and building successful businesses, our leadership team is proven and passionate about improving design and construction through technology.
Florian brings over 25 years of creating and commercializing construction and engineering software solutions to Visicon. Before founding Visicon, he ran ADAPT Corporation, the leading developer of structural analysis software for prestressed concrete structures and oversaw its sale to RISA Tech, a Nemetschek company.
Before ADAPT, Florian was co-Founder and CTO at BuildPoint Corporation, where he was responsible for the market adoption of the construction industry’s first online preconstruction management platform. Florian rounds out his professional experience with time spent as a structural engineer and Director of Product Development at one of the early cloud-based project management solutions.
His interest and drive to identify opportunities to advance the AEC industry through technology started during his PhD days at Stanford’s Center for Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE), where he created one of the first AI-based techniques to automatically generate 4D construction schedules from BIM models. He also holds an MSE in Structural Engineering from Stanford University and a BSE in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley.
Henry has over 30 years of experience in engineering and business leadership. Prior to Visicon, Henry, along with the rest of his executive team, created the largest online preconstruction software and information provider in the world, ConstructConnect. While there, Henry oversaw product management, marketing, business development and corporate strategic initiatives.
Before ConstructConnect, Henry served as Vice President of Product Management for BuildPoint Corporation, where he drove product strategy and customer implementation. In addition, Henry has practiced civil and structural engineering for several years at Black & Veatch and Rutherford & Chekene respectively, and is a licensed Structural and Professional Engineer in the State of California. He has provided numerous lectures regarding business, product management and innovation, and the use of technology in construction.
Henry received a BSE in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University, an MSE in Structural Engineering from Stanford University, and completed the Executive Leadership Program at the Haas School of Business at the University of California.
